== Using IMAP to Transfer email from FirstClass to GroupWise on OS X ==
1. Start Mail in OS X
2. When running Mail for the first time you be prompted with the following:
a. Welcome to Mail:
i. Click on the continue button
b. General Information:
i. Account Type:  Select IMAP
ii. Description:  Enter FirstClass
iii. Full Name:  Enter something
iv. Email Address:  Enter something
v. Click on the Continue button
c. Incoming Mail Server:
i. Server: firstclass.u47.k12.me.us
ii. User Name: Enter your FirstClass user name
iii. Password:  Enter your FirstClass email password
iv. Click on the Continue button
d. Outgoing Mail Server:
i. Click on the Continue button
1. You’ll get an error, ignore it
ii. Click on the Continue button again
1. NOTE:  You will not need to send mail.  This is a temporary setup to transfer mail via FirstClass and GroupWise
e. Outgoing Mail Security:
i. Click on the continue button
f. Account Summary:
i. Click on the continue button
g. Conclusion:
i. Click on the Create Another Account button

3. You will now see your FirstClass and GroupWise accounts via Mail
a. NOTE: Depending on the amount of mail you have, you may need to wait up to 15 minutes for MAIL to populate with your message headers
4. Once you are able to see your mail in FirstClass you can drag ‘n drop your existing folders and/or mail in to your GroupWise account.
a. NOTE: Once again depending on how much mail you have, this could take hours to accomplish.
b. You won’t be able to move/copy calendar items properly.  If you need your calendar moved, it will need to be done via a PDA.

New Windows Workstation Setup

1. Install WindowsXP SP2 Pro

(a) Disable Firewall (b) Disable Automatic Updates (c) Disable Security Center Notifications (d) Disable System Restore (e) Disable File & Print Sharing (don’t uninstall) (f) Disable Windows Networking Client if not needed (don’t uninstall) (g) Upgrade to SP3

2. Name the workstation. Examples: MHS-101, BMS-100-01, DNS-NSMITH, FMS-DCONLEY
3. Uninstall the following from WindowsXP:

(a) Games (b) MSN Explorer (c) Microsoft Messenger

4. Install NetWare Client v4.91SP5

(a) Configure tree to BSD (b) Configure appropriate context

5. Install latest video drivers

(a) NOTE: If latest drivers are not installed, the workstation may reboot and/or crash after Z.E.N.Works and/or Sophos are installed.

6. Install Z.E.N.Works:

(a) Edit the C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc\hosts file

i. Add one of the following lines:
A. 10.1.1.21	zenwsimport	
B. 10.2.1.1		zenwsimport
C. 10.3.1.1		zenwsimport
D. 10.4.1.1		zenwsimport
E. 10.5.1.1		zenwsimport

(b) Install Z.E.N.Works 7.0.1 from appropriate server

i. \\<server>\sys\public\zenworks\zfdagent\english\zfdagent.msi

(c) REBOOT and then login with an admin account

7. Install iPrint

(a) Start Internet Explorer or another web browser if it exists (b) Go to http://iprint.rsu1.org (c) Select the appropriate school (d) In the upper right click on the Install iPrint link

i. Or click on any printer and the site will tell you to install iPrint

(e) Download NIPP.EXE (f) Install it (g) NOTE: Depending on the user logged in, the building or workstation group the workstation is a member of, printers may automatically populate after iPrint is installed.

8. System Setup

(a) Open up Display properties

i. Remove background
ii. Set display to Windows Classic
iii. Set power save features to “Always On”
iv. Disable Hibernate mode

(b) Open My Computer

i. Go to Tools and Folder Options
ii. Check “Use Windows classic folders”
iii. Click “View” tab
iv. Check “Show hidden files and folders”
v. Uncheck “Hide extensions for known file types”
vi. Uncheck “Use simple file sharing”
vii. Click on OK

(c) Setup Printers

i. Start a web browser
ii. Go to http://iprint.rsu1.org
iii. Browse for and add the printers needed.
9. Create a SweepUpd account

(a) Start/Control Panel/Administrative Tools (b) Computer Management/Local Users and Groups/Users (c) Action Menu/New User (d) User Name: SweepUpd (e) Description: SweepUpdate Account (f) Password: virus (all lower case) (g) Deselect “User must change password at next logon” (h) Select “User cannot change password” (i) Select “Password never expires” (j) Create/Close/Close Computer Mgmt window (k) Add SweepUpd to Administrators group

10. Install Sophos from appropriate NetWare server

(a) \\<server>\sys\sweep\esxp\setup.exe

i. Morse <server> = ASPEN
ii. BRVC <server> = KORE
iii. Bath Middle School <server> = BMS
iv. Dike-Newell <server> = DNS
v. Fisher-Mitchell <server> = FMS
vi. Admin Building <server> = CENTRAL

(b) User Name: .sweep.bsd (c) Password: v1rus

11. Install Office 2007 Converters

(a) \\alpha\vol1\apps\microsoft\office\FileFormatConverters.exe

12. Install OpenOffice 

(a) Run and accept license agreement (b) Copy setup.xcs file from \\ALPHA\VOL1\APPS\StarOffice8\Registry to C:\Program Files\Sun\StarOffice 8\share\registry\schema\org\openoffice

13. Install Acrobat Reader 

(a) \\<server>\vol1\apps\adobe\. . . (b) Remove the Acrobat Reader shortcut from the desktop (c) Remove Adobe Reader Quick Launch from Startup (d) Run and accept license agreement

14. Install QuickTime

(a) \\<server>\vol1\apps\apple\quicktime. . . (b) Remove QuickTime shortcut from the desktop (c) Remove “Q” from System Tray (d) Disable automatic updates

15. Install GroupWise 8.0.1

(a) \\<server>\vol1\apps\novell\gw8hp1\win32\setup.exe

16. Install GroupWise Messenger

(a) \\<server>\vol1\apps\novell\gwm

17. Install Windows Defender

(a) \\alpha\vol1\apps\microsoft\windowsdefender\WindowsDefender.msi

18. Install Macromedia Flash, ShockWave and AuthorWare Player

(a) \\<server>\vol1\apps\adobe\shockwave. . . (b) \\<server>\vol1\apps\adobe\flash. . . (c) AuthorWare is installed from the Adobe website

19. Install JAVA

(a) \\<server>\vol1\apps\java\. . . (b) Disable automatic updates

20. NutriKids (Food Service Only)

(a) Install latest POS software (b) \\fs2\vol1\NutriKids\pos1db\st_setup.exe (c) Manager's Database: \\fs2\vol1\NutriKids\pos1db\nutkidmg.mdb (d) Set as appropriate serving line: (e) Enter 3007 at login prompt and press the Administrator button

21. Logout and then restart the computer
22. Login as workstation only using the SweepUpd account
23. Copy the NTUSER.DAT file from the admin account used previously to the Default User account
24. Logout and then log back in with any Novell account
25. Shut the workstation down.
26. Workstation is ready to be deployed and/or imaged
